Payment Protection Insurance

Payment protection insurance is commonly referred to as PPI, and is an insurance policy that is designed to repay a loan that a person has taken out, in the event that they die, lose their job, or become incapacitated and are unable to work. PPI can be very expensive, and, before taking it out, it is always worth considering if you have another policy in place to cover the same risk, such as life insurance.
