Company Pension Scheme

A company pension scheme is one that is provided by an employer, and, by 2018 all employers in the UK will be obliged to automatically enroll most employees into their pension scheme. The majority of company pension schemes operate on the basis that you pay an amount into your pension on a monthly basis, the employer will pay an amount, and you will also get tax relief on the amount that you have paid, so essentially the government pays into it also. Since both your employer and the government are contributing to your pension in proportion to what you yourself put in, it is worth investing as much as you can to maximise the amount that you get from them, essentially free!
